“My work focuses on the essential societal challenge of making all aspects of daily living accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities.”
Bob joined LCM in 2007 with over 30 years of architectural experience. He blends strategic leadership and unflagging field experience to manage and execute complex, multi-phased projects. A versatile professional, Bob manages accessibility compliance and third party certification for the Chicago Housing Authority; the ADA and universal design components of Houston METRO projects; and the Chicago Transit Authority All Stations Accessibility Program. Additionally, Bob leads LCM’s accessibility compliance surveying and plan reviews for healthcare facilities.
Fueled by a lifelong talent for drawing and painting and reverence for the natural environment, Bob has nimble observational skills and an aptitude for detail. This dexterity serves him well as he probes accessibility regulations, performs compliance assessments, and implements universal design solutions to make the built environment more accessible to all.
Bob is inspired by the multiplicity of Chicago’s rich architectural heritage, vibrant neighborhoods, and diverse population. Observing the city’s progress since his childhood, his greatest satisfaction is in knowing that his architectural career and involvement on the Mayor’s Pedestrian Advisory Council help to shape a more inclusive and livable city.
