“It’s important to consider information from the client’s perspective, know what data is most helpful, and present it all in a clear format that is easy to understand.”

An Accessibility Specialist at LCM, Rich provides ADA compliance plan and construction reviews, facilities surveys, and due diligence services to owners and architects of commercial properties nationwide. His career in customer-focused industries began as an architect for a national pharmacy chain and has expanded to include many of the nation’s most prominent hospitality and corporate brands.

Rich believes in addressing the functional aspects of architecture to remedy spaces that do not work well for the users by focusing on details and his knowledge of ADA standards. With highly organized assessment findings and thoughtful recommendations, Rich enables clients to make spaces both attractive and usable for people with disabilities.

Rich enjoys the challenge of working with historic buildings and unconventional project types, such as a winery with adjoining amphitheater. Projects in different geographic locations add interest to his travels, from a parking lot in Indiana to a luxury Hawaiian resort. Closer to home in Illinois, he serves on the Village of Libertyville’s Appearance Review Commission.
