“As a kid, I always liked drawing. Everything had to be measured exactly the right length, and I always had my ruler and a bunch of pencils in my bag”, reminisces Lupe, who went on to pursue architecture as a career. After a concentration on public school design and project management, she joined LCM, where she is an Associate and accessibility specialist with a focus on hospitality projects. For Lupe, project challenges are an opportunity to learn and to educate others on the intricacies of accessibility compliance. “Clients rely on us to tell them what is and is not compliant. We show them how, why, and when to remove accessibility barriers, even in the most challenging conditions,” she explains.
