“Architects tend to be involved in so many aspects of design and construction that it is challenging to become a subject-matter expert. I appreciate the opportunity to focus on a specific area of the built environment – accessibility. It’s also gratifying to be a part of work with a larger social responsibility and, as a result, impact”, says Liz about her passion for her role as an Accessibility Specialist. Throughout her 30-plus-year architectural career, Liz has focused on sustainable design and accessibility. She leads LCM’s higher education and government/public accessibility consulting practice, using her experience in hands-on accessibility surveying, plan review, and training to help clients develop strategic ADA compliance programs.
