Bob is the go-to guru who does it all for public school accessibility, from plan and field review to design standards and ADA compliance training.
Bob has been LCM’s spirit and sage at Chicago Public Schools (CPS) since 2000. A tactical and tactful problem-solver, Bob provides training and technical support to architects, engineers, construction managers, contractors, and CPS staff about accessibility compliance. With his experience in the building industry and natural ability to connect with people, Bob is adept at resolving accessible design issues, integrating universal design elements, and advising on program strategies.
Helping students with disabilities by removing barriers in educational environments is a chance for Bob to pay it forward. Due to an accident and multiple surgeries, Bob was once a student with disabilities challenged by the physical barriers at school. He feels grateful to many who helped him overcome the obstacles, including CPS, and is honored to do the same for students in that position today.
