Transition Plan

LCM provided the University with a comprehensive Accessibility Assessment and Transition Plan report to confirm compliance with the 1991 and 2010 ADA standards, specifically accessibility requirements of ADA Title II regulations and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. Addressing two main campuses in Morgantown and other WVU campuses throughout the state, the report provides a framework for future alterations, renovations, and expansion projects for the entire WVU system.

LCM worked with WVU to devise a phased process to meet the annual budget and to address the largest campuses in the first phase. We assessed academic, athletic, and residential facilities and identified noncompliant parking areas, and exterior routes. Accessibility strategies had to be developed around challenging topographic features, including eight experimental farms and four forests.
