LCM Architect has been working with The University of Notre Dame since 2008, our accessibility specialist has surveyed the entire campus that includes 80 facilities, parking areas, and pedestrian routes, and identified non-compliant ADA elements.
Our report recommended and prioritized modifications for barrier removal with budget estimates. The report also included a map of accessible circulation routes and building entrances. The compliance plan, along with the ADA Design and Construction Manual we created for project management and staff, serves as a guide for the University’s plan for maintenance and construction.
LCM continues to provide the University staff with training seminars and we review plans and construction drawings to verify all new construction complies with accessibility requirements. We are also providing architectural design services to establish an accessible path of travel to the Basilica of the Sacred Heart’s altar.
