Working with the University regularly since 2008, LCM surveyed all campus facilities, parking areas and pedestrian routes and identified noncompliant ADA elements. Our report recommended and prioritized modifications for barrier removal with budget estimates. The report also included a map of accessible circulation routes and building entrances. The compliance plan, along with the ADA Design and Construction Manual we created for project management and staff, serves as a guide for the University’s plan for maintenance and construction.

LCM continues to provide the University staff with training seminars and we review plan and construction drawings to ensure all new construction complies with accessibility requirements. We are also providing architectural design services to establish an accessible path of travel to the Basilica of the Sacred Heart’s alter.

“We continue to enjoy and value our on-going relationship with LCM Architects ... and rely on their expertise as we endeavor to remove barriers to accessibility throughout our campus environment while closely scrutinizing all new construction to ensure that new designs comply with our barrier free standards that LCM also assisted us in developing.”
