LCM designed a new headquarters and transit hub for Freedom Transit, the primary public transportation provider for the Washington County, PA area.

LCM first studied the feasibility of redeveloping city-owned land to make way for an intermodal transit facility. Replacing a deteriorating garage, the new municipal building serves as a central drop-off, pick-up, and transfer hub for the Freedom Transit fleet.

Customer service windows and waiting areas with seating are located in a portion of the building enclosed primarily in glass. Floor to ceiling windows admit abundant natural light and allow customers to see arriving and departing vehicles.

The two-story facility also houses offices for 20 transit employees and hosts a satellite police station on the first floor. An attached enclosed garage serves as a maintenance depot for City of Washington road maintenance vehicles.
