A Picturesque Haven

LCM Architects planned and designed Revolve at Thorncreek, a multifamily development in Thornton, Colorado. With a keen focus on preserving the natural beauty of the area, the design takes care to safeguard the existing wetland, offering enchanting natural vistas to residents along a serene walkway.
The development is cleverly configured on a heavily sloped site. The proposed plan includes four elevator buildings, two 4-story and two 5-story, and a clubhouse, totaling 332,800 square feet of built area. Studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom units comprise the 282 dwelling units. A 10,000 square feet commercial plaza on-site adjoining the street fosters a harmonious connection with pedestrians and the surrounding community. A parking garage is provided in addition to shaded and surface parking.
The 9,000 square feet clubhouse has plush amenities including a community garden, children’s playground, dog run, fitness center, yoga room, golf simulator, café and lounge spaces, indoor and outdoor games, and a pool and grilling pavilions. The development is centered towards young professionals.
Rusticated and cultured stone, board and batten, and stucco finishes articulate the buildings’ exteriors. Special use of channel glass along building staircases enhances their verticality and casts a soft ethereal glow in the evenings. Xeriscaping strategies are utilized to ensure compatibility with the region’s water challenges while creating a distinctive, charming landscape.
