A Bespoke Multifamily for a Burgeoning Neighborhood

LCM is designing one of our largest to-date multifamily developments in Normal, Illinois. The proposition of a huge factory of a reputed car company in the vicinity of the site promoted an increased residential demand in the area. The site has easy access from the interstate. The development comprises of 477 dwelling units including studios, one-, two-, and three-bedrooms, and 7 townhomes.

Maximizing lot usage, navigating neighboring community approvals, and working around the existing retention pond on-site were some of the challenges accomplished by the master plan. Amenities include grill pavilions scattered throughout the site, fenced dog-run and tot-lot; the clubhouse features an outdoor pool, grill, table tennis, and pickle ball. Indoor amenities include a fitness center, lounge area, mailroom, wet bar and games area, and open table seating. A picturesque canopy-lined trail is proposed around the perimeter of the site, providing residents with a serene setting for pleasant strolls or invigorating runs.

Inspired by the craftsmen architectural style, the building elevations showcase exquisite elements such as roof corbels, decorative columns, and charming canopies.
