Berglund Construction hired us to build out their satellite office in the Fields South development, also designed by LCM. Berglund is a nationally recognized construction management and building restoration firm that desired to have a distinctive brand identity in their office interiors, showcasing their vendor portfolio, superior craftsmanship, and cutting-edge technology to prospective clients.

The front-end of the office is designed to be client-facing and includes an entry lobby, reception, conference room, and a multipurpose area. The back end is meant for staff use only, with two office rooms, a copy room/storage, mechanical room, and a powder room. LCM provided the design language to best represent the products, materials and finishes selected by the client.

A part of the project scope was creating a commercial showroom for DIRTT, a modular interiors construction company, to showcase its products. The conference room is designed to open into a larger lobby with a DIRTT operable glass-door partition system specified to work within the structural constraints. The partition features opaque glass panels, in the brand’s color palette of blue and white, fitted in a wooden frame. DIRTT wall paneling used throughout the front-end spaces features client-specified graphics and seamlessly incorporates a display screen in the lobby, conference room and multi-purpose area, each. A glass floor by DIRTT is showcased in a portion of the multipurpose area, designed to flush with the rest of the flooring to ensure wheelchair accessibility. Suitable furniture is designed or specified in every room. Working closely with the client, contractor, and vendors led to a smooth design delivery.
