LCM assesses healthcare facilities for compliance with ADA requirements. Primary function areas – including diagnostic, imaging, exam, procedure, recovery, and patient rooms – are evaluated in our review process. We also examine areas of entry, parking, and accessible routes. Our understanding of complex technical criteria for medical diagnostic equipment helps clients make prudent decisions that benefit all patrons.
Conducting accessibility facility surveys is one of our methods to identify non-compliant conditions and recommend appropriate modifications. We also review architectural plans for accessibility compliance. Addressing the entire design and construction process, our services include monitoring construction conformity and verifying compliance upon completion. As architects we also design and implement remediation plans.
Our specialists serve as expert witnesses, investigating and surveying facilities for ADA compliance to help resolve specific complaints or litigation. LCM has surveyed medical facilities from coast to coast on behalf of the Department of Justice’s Barrier Free Healthcare Initiative.
LCM also is a neutral third party. We conduct assessments when clients wish to address specific complaints, exercise due diligence for pending transactions, or benchmark compliance performance.
