Whitney Hill Joins LCM
LCM welcomes Whitney Hill as an Accessibility Specialist. A creative problem-solver who relishes a challenge, she is a valuable contributor to the LCM team.
Whitney is working on accessibility assessment projects for Chicago Public Schools’ polling places and Los Angeles affordable housing.
For nine years, Whitney has engaged with nonprofits and educational organizations committed to the inclusion of people with disabilities. Through experience and training, she has acquired a thorough and practical knowledge of ADA Standards for Accessible Design. She was trained and certified by the New England American with Disabilities Act regional office.
Whether participating in project accessibility reviews or managing staff, clients, and volunteers, Whitney has focused on promoting inclusivity. She has worked with ADA regional coordinators and federal specialists on projects in major cities, including Chicago and Washington, DC. As a speaker and workshop facilitator she shares her insights on a variety of accessibility related topics.
Whitney’s passion for advocacy has flourished in SPORK!, a nonprofit she established to further connect with the disability community. She is Fellow at Chicago-based ADA25 Advancing Leadership, which promotes opportunities for people with disabilities to lead, connect, and grow. She also is a member of the Chicago Transit Authority’s ADA Advisory Committee, chairing the Wayfinding Subcommittee. Whitney holds a BFA in Universal Design from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago.
