Center and School for Students that are Deaf-Blind

LCM is designing a new facility for a Center and School for Students that are deaf-blind. The new, two-story, 24,131-square-foot structure is designed to achieve LEED Silver Certification. The design features inconspicuous details based on the Principles of Universal Design, considering a wide range of abilities.

The design integrates the Principles of Universal Design, creating convivial spaces that enable individuals with diverse abilities to interact within a comfortable and safe environment.

Pushing architectural boundaries by embracing the synergy of universal design and green building concepts, the ground-breaking design positions Access Living’s new home as a model for responsible commercial building in the 21st century.

Chez Center for Veterans in Higher Education

The new 32,000 square feet Center for Wounded Veterans – the first of its kind on a U.S. campus – provides transitional living facilities and support services to prepare veterans with a range of disabilities to live independently while pursuing their educational and career aspirations.
