Reception area at RIC LIFE Center

The LIFE Center is dedicated to providing Learning, Innovation, Family and Empowerment for people with disabilities. This interactive education resource for people with disabilities and their families provides virtual access to its resource collection via the Internet through the RIC Web site and computer access at the Center. On site the Center has videos, books and periodicals for use and purchase.

The design concept is based on the soft curves, forms and lines reflective of the body in motion. The floor plan allows easy movement through the space and enhanced floor patterns help direct the flow through the Center. A nature inspired finish palette and materials selection provide a relaxed atmosphere while allowing easy maintenance.  This project was completed in association with Eva Maddox Branded Environments.
