Title II Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan

The City of Chicago’s Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities (MOPD) serves people with disabilities and City departments and agencies.  LCM is assisting MOPD to facilitate a city-wide Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan of Chicago’s departments and agencies under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). 

This large-scale project includes assessment of the public facilities and programs of 44 City departments and development of a transition plan. LCM began by establishing a plan and creating a project management website. Tasks have included the design of user-friendly and efficient survey tools and working with MOPD to train staff from each City department to conduct surveys of their facilities and programs. Completed surveys are returned to MOPD for processing with software that translates raw data into recommendations.
