LCM assisted the University of Chicago in developing and implementing an accessibility plan for its Hyde Park campus. Work included surveying and identifying issues observed throughout the campus and its buildings; prioritizing remediation efforts; recommending barrier removal options based on need and feasibility; and preparing a cost estimate for each element. Facilities surveyed included areas used by students, faculty, and the public comprising of academic, recreational, and residential buildings. Exterior pedestrian circulation routes were also surveyed.

This effort was documented in a report that has become the U of C Physical Access Plan. One of the critical aspects of the compliance work is upgrading the undergraduate and graduate housing.
